Position Objective:

Provides expert direct care to patients, families and family systems; provides teaching, evaluation, assessment and counseling to patients and families as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Performs mental health assessments and provides thorough documentation.
  2. Develops treatment plans consistent with best practices and assists in providing referral to most appropriate level of care. Assists in securing inpatient psychiatric treatment and insurance authorizations as needed.
  3. Functions as an expert clinical resource to nursing and medical staff; coordinates the care of patients in need of psychiatric treatment.
  4. Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to effect continuous improvement in the delivery of family-centered patient care.
  5. Accepts and discharges additional responsibilities as needed and required to meet service line and organizational objectives.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

  • If serving as a bilingual/multilingual interpreter, certification in Medical Interpretation is required to perform the duties of a qualified interpreter.
  • Graduation from a masters level clinical program
  • One year of clinical experience with demonstrated clinical diagnostic competency.

Required License/Certifications:

  • Current LCSW-C or LCPC licensure to diagnosis and treat mental illness in the State of Maryland.

Responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties in an office setting. Assists by sorting mail, filing, scanning, pulling, printing and mailing billing information to appropriate insurance companies.

Essential Job Duties:

  1. Responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties in an office setting.
  2. Assists by sorting mail, filing, scanning, pulling, printing and mailing billing information to appropriate insurance companies.
  3. Opens and sorts mail and delivers larger items to appropriate staff.
  4. Pulls and prints all billing information for lawyer billing requests and faxes them to the law offices assuring the appropriate authorization and release is present.
  5. Documents account using the ATTNY smart phrase in EPIC or Meditech.
  6. Match Insurance Explanation of benefits to secondary claims and mails them to the appropriate insurance companies.
  7. Prints all Itemized bills requested.
  8. Documents accounts with information regarding what was sent using smart phrases in Epic or Meditech for secondary billing.
  9. Prepares batches for scanning and assists with scanning as needed.
  10. Puts all mailed checks in the mail box for Accounts Receivable and escalate issues to the appropriate Team Leader or PFS Leadership.

  • High school diploma required or equivalent.

Physical Demands -

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
