Optum Care Medical Group serve the communities within Orange and southern Los Angeles counties. The combined medical group is composed of 15 practices with more than 90 physicians and mid-level providers. From pediatric and adolescent medicine, to adult and senior care, Optum Care Medical Group strive to provide a higher level of service through our unique, patient - driven model.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a detailed eligibility verification of insurance benefits
  • Determine coverage, service level co-pays, deductibles and outstanding balances
  • Accurately document and maintain insurance and patient demographic information in Practice Management system
  • Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proven experience with developing positive relationships with physicians, senior staff, co-workers and patients

Required Qualifications:
  • High school education or GED
  • 1+ years of experience working in a medical office setting
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills: Outlook
  • Knowledge of insurance plans, HMO / PPO and how to navigate through health plan websites
Preferred Qualifications:
  • EMR experience
  • Bilingual Spanish
