Sodexo is seeking a Concessions Manager for Liberty University located in Lynchburg, VA.
Liberty University is one of the largest Christian Universities in the world and the largest private non-profit universities with 15,000 on campus students and 94,000 on-line students. Lynchburg campus serves about 9,000 residential students, 6,000 commuters’ students and 2000+ faculty/staff. This Executive Chef will be responsible for day to day operation of culinary program for 23 campus retail locations with mixture of Sodexo and National brands, plus Concessions and assisting with some Catering events.
The Concession Manager 1 is a highly visible position and will be responsible for daily contact with the client and customers and overseeing the arena operations; profit and loss responsibility for planning; maintaining food and labor costs; works closely with Non-Profit Organizations (NPOs) and 3rd party vendors; scheduling; training and managing volunteers to operate event day sales; cash handling, balancing end of shift reports; management of special events; HACCP/Sanitation and cost controls; ordering and stocking concession stands and carts with the proper counts and products; managing and maintaining inventory.
Success in the position is predicated on organization, planning and great customer service skills. The ability to develop strong client relations is essential along with attention to detail and knowledge of unit finances.
We are looking for candidates who have:
- Concessions or Retail experience at large stadium/arena venues;
- Strong financial skills and cash handling experience;
- Strong understanding of and practical experience with HACCP;
- Experience managing and developing a talented and diverse team of employees;
- Ability to communicate and delegate effectively under pressure.

Assists in the management of food preparation and service operations in a concessions unit (i.e., stadiums, amusement parks). Responsible for inventory control with an emphasis on production needs. Assists in staff hiring and training. May supervise less than two full time employees.
