Description

Washington State University Extension – William D. Ruckelshaus Center, Statewide Senior Facilitator for Projects & Programs.  Applications are invited for an Assistant Professor who is a conflict resolution and research professional whose primary duties are to: 1) assess, develop, coordinate, manage and facilitate Center collaborative policy projects; 2) provide leadership for the Center’s internship program; 3) provide expert guidance on the development and delivery of a robust training program; 4) make contributions to the field of collaborative governance through scholarship and research; and 5) perform a variety of administrative responsibilities as a member of the Center’s core staff and WSU Extension faculty. This is a 12-month (subject to renewal), promotion track, full-time faculty position to begin February, 1, 2020, or as negotiated, located at the WSU Downtown Seattle, WA office. Required qualifications: 1) Earned Master’s Degree in a related field, at the time of hire; 2) Minimum five years’ experience as a neutral facilitator in collaborative governance and multi-party public policy conflict resolution; 3) Demonstrated experience working on statewide issues with a high level of visibility; 4) Relevant experience working with public policy making processes across public, non-profit, private and civic sectors; 5) Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with diverse internal and external constituencies; 6) Demonstrated experience designing and implementing a student internship program. 7) Experience developing and delivering training related to collaborative governance/public policy conflict resolution; and 8) Must have, or able to obtain, a valid driver’s license by time of hire.
