Account Manager -- Europe Middle East

JOB SUMMARY:

We are looking for an Account Manager to create long-term, trusting relationships with existing and new accounts. The Account Manager's role is to deliver sustainable and profitable sales growth and increase market share. Major objectives are to select and develop new distributors, assist existing distributors with finding new stockists, and grow existing accounts' sales.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Develop comprehensive market development plans to increase existing distributor and stockists' sales.

* Increase our network of Benjamin Moore selling outlets across Europe and the Middle East through targeted prospecting initiatives

* Increase sales of Benjamin Moore products to existing international distributors and stockists

* Build strong relationships with distributors, stockists and end-user customers in a consultative and advisory capacity

* Conduct job site visits by providing guidance and recommendations on product selection, application and technical information/green standards

* Liaise with cross-functional internal teams (including Customer Service, Logistics and Marketing departments) to improve the entire customer experience

* Plan and facilitate end user events, trade shows, and regular painting contractor training

* Create an ongoing training plan for distributors, stockists and end user professionals to educate on product knowledge & customer service, driving the use of all available education tools and resources

* Effectively lead individual and group training activities

* Answer queries and identify new business opportunities

* Support distributors with end user selling plans, programs, promotions and services that support the Benjamin Moore sales strategy

* Close sales opportunities after generating leads and identifying targets

* Manage territory to optimize distribution

* Record and track sales activities via CRM

* Prepare sales and call reports

* Monitor and ensure compliance with brand standards

REQUIREMENTS

* Driven hunter sales personality

* Effective communicator with strong verbal and written communication skills

* Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities

* The ability to work independently with minimum direct supervision

* Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail

* BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Sales or equivalent work experience

* 5+ years B2B sales experience, preferably in paint sales

* English proficiency required and French, German, Spanish or Russian fluency preferred

* Frequent travel is required -- approximately 50%

* Solid experience with CRM software and MS Office (particularly MS Excel and PPT)

* Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs

* Effective decision making and problem-solving skills

* Knowledge of retail process and best practices

* Valid passport, driver's license and a good driving record

* The successful candidate must currently have a legal work status within the European Union
