Position Summary: 

Act as liaison between X-dock Direct manufacturing and vendors. Perform customer service activities specifically maintaining plant expedite requests, providing accurate material and shipping information and handling complaints in a prompt and courteous manner to support an efficient X-dock operation.  Provide necessary daily support to warehouse staff on receiving, shipping and other warehouse functions including backfill support for Shift supervisor.

This is a 2nd shift position.  Days are Monday - Friday.  Hours are 3pm - 11:30pm. 

Major Responsibilities:

Job responsibilities may include: 

-Identify, prepare and manage all plant expedite requests and provide the necessary communication follow up with customer, facturas and dispatch personnel as needed..

-Prepare appropriate documentation and related reports as required.

-Provide backfill support in the absence of shift supervisor including enforcing all policies and procedures throughout the department.

-Communicate with Customs, plants, dispatch and shipping departments to identify where problems originate and work with these and other groups to resolve requirements/scheduling problems.

-Must possess assertive negotiating skills to negotiate issues with customers and other supporting groups within the organization.

-Must have good analytical skills to research problems and requirement issues.

-Must have SAP knowledge and provide support to clerks and material handlers as needed.

-Support maintaining a safe working environment with the use of safety practices.

-Must be able to provide backfill support on other clerical functions when needed.

-Comply with Internal Control, ISO-9000, SOX, CT-PAT, Environmental and other regulatory requirements.

-Maintain appropriate document files and prepare reports pertinent to customers accounts.

-Comply with company, client and governmental policies and regulations.

-Continue to enhance knowledge of job related operations.

-Perform other duties as required to meet departmental objectives.



Qualifications

-3 years of warehouse experience required

-Supervisory experience preferred

-Bilingual (English/Spanish) Verbal and written required

- Excellent analytical, verbal and written communication skills required.

-Must have knowledge of computerized systems and material releases.

-Must be assertive with various departments to achieve satisfactory delivery performance.

-High School diploma or equivalent required

-Degree preferred

-Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint required

-Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job

-Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
