Job Summary

Benjamin Moore is seeking a Content Manager to oversee the development, execution and delivery of content across all of our channels. This strategic individual contributor will be responsible for developing and managing a content strategy that is in line with company objectives, and reflects our voice and vision, in order to achieve our business and marketing goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the strategic planning, development, and management content by crafting engaging, dynamic content across all Benjamin Moore touchpoints, including websites, emails, blogs, video, articles and other communication
  • Build actionable content roadmaps that serve as the backbone of content production and performance to fuel awareness, highlight partnership opportunities and outline short-term and long-term milestones
  • Assess our content library on an ongoing basis, identifying outdated material, assessing new needs, and producing and distributing new material
  • Build and maintain a strategic editorial calendar to support a consistent quality presence for various customer segments across all content marketing channels
  • Work closely with business and product SMEs to make sure we are thinking about the right strategies, using the right voice in order to increase quality of presentation, discoverability, measurement and optimization of stories
  • Help role model best practice by developing easily replicable frameworks for fast content creation and distribution around key news and cultural events
  • Draft and/or edit new material, coordinate work with agencies, and oversee the process through regular cross-functional meetings
  • Stay up-to-date on industry best practices, monitor and share competitor activity, and adjust the content calendar/strategy as necessary
  • Analyze key performance metrics and gather feedback to measure effectiveness and optimize content on ongoing basis
  • Ensure content is properly (and legally) representing the company

Required Skills & Desired Knowledge

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing or other related business field, required
  • 5-7 year proven track record creating and managing content, using data and insights to improve client engagement metrics, both digital and non-digital
  • Experience collaborating within a transforming marketing organization, as well as with sales, product, corporate communications, legal and compliance
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills
  • Ability to work in nimble, test and learn, iterative environment
  • Work well across organization, using leadership skills to coordinate efforts
  • Extremely collaborative team player who is open minded, flexible and willing to incorporate other people's opinions
  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to develop a clear strategy for inspiring and engaging the audience
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and perform well under deadlines
  • Knowledge of social media and their metrics, preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Solid analytical skills, with ability to draw implications from metrics measurement
  • Knowledge of market research tools, preferred
  • Experience building editorial governance and content intake processes, including the development of content frameworks and editorial calendars
  • Spanish language a plus
