Description

Sodfather Landscaping is a family-owned landscape business based in Spartanburg, South Carolina (SC) with a branch operating in Charleston, SC. The Charleston branch has a full-time position immediately available for a Maintenance Account Manager. This position is the hub connecting Sodfather customers and Sodfather maintenance crews in Charleston to the corporate office in Spartanburg. Skills Required

The Charleston Account Manager is the most-senior employee on-site daily in Charleston. Therefore, the winning candidate will be an independent, self-motivated leader capable of making good decisions in the field. To be successful in this position, this person must enjoy both interacting with the public and working hard in the out-of-doors alongside maintenance crews.

Responsibilities:
Maintain Sodfather's outstanding maintenance team. Sodfather's Charleston team is well-developed. The Account Manager will be responsible for continuing to develop that team, working with employees to support that team environment.

Maintain and implement a maintenance schedule, ensuring that enhancement work is completed successfully, on budget, and on time.

Continue Sodfather's high quality service standards, which requires understanding basic horticultural concepts, turfgrass management, weed identification, and irrigation troubleshooting and repair.

Ensure that customers are completely satisfied through effective communication and regular site visits

Ensure a safe environment for employees, customers and the general public

Serve as a liaison between clients and the corporate office to price enhancement work and ensure that completed work is billed properly. This requires excellent attention to detail in daily time records and notes using Sodfather's online timekeeping software.


Requirements

Prefer Bachelor's degree in Ag Business, Horticulture, Ag Science, Landscape Maintenance, Agronomy, Floriculture , Forestry , Plant and Soil Science, or Turfgrass Management

Proficient with computer software programs and tablet-based applications

Effective oral and written communication skills

Ability to prioritize job duties and multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Customer service experience - able to identify and resolve customer concerns professionally without taking criticism personally.

Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
