Position Summary:

Ensure customer satisfaction and effective inventory management by providing appropriate support and leadership in the areas of Production & Inventory Control for Operations activities within the Richland Center manufacturing facility. Responsible for the overall production planning and inventory management of raw material, component parts, WIP and Finished goods within the Richland Center operation. Provides strategic direction and guides action plans for overall material management with the Production Control Analysts and Materials Analyst(s). The P&IC Manager has responsibility for production planning, warehouse operations, financial forecasting, and material handling in a dynamic manufacturing environment. This position may require travel to suppliers and other Rockwell facilities both domestically and internationally.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Apply advanced knowledge of materials, production planning and supply chain management as well as draw upon substantial experience to identify and/or solve highly complex business problems.

  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans within the primary functional areas. Implement or assist in the implementation of strategic plans developed for the plant's functional areas.

  • Drive plant productivity by effective scheduling and optimizing assembly line capacity, as well as developing accurate financial forecasts with the assistance of the Production Manager.

  • Develop strategic plans that supplement and enable senior leadership's plant and business goals.

  • Implement world-class systems and tools in production planning, inventory control, materials management, warehouse management, and material distribution.

  • Actively reduce inventory through advanced analytics while maintaining customer service in a complex and dynamic production environment within ETO manufacturing.

  • Ensure that production and inventory control practices are consistent with other facilities to the extent possible.

  • Pursue long-term corrective actions from suppliers who exhibit quality or delivery problems by partnering with Purchasing and Sourcing.

  • Develop goals/targets for all direct reports and regularly provide feedback on progress towards those goals.

  • Work with BU partners to develop top level business forecasts for all Richland Center products, and understand and manage changes due to new products, series changes, etc. Communicate changes to all key

    stakeholders, to effectively plan inventory appropriately throughout the system for finished goods as well as components.

  • Develop and maintain the master schedule. Directly manage the local plant materials and production functions to implement production schedules by assembly area. Provide analysis and analytical tools for manufacturing in order to execute schedules and optimize inventory.

  • Provide data and analytics to purchasing to drive improvements in lot sizes and lead times for all materials supplied internally and externally.

  • Ensure customer satisfaction by providing appropriate support and leadership in the areas of Shipping and Receiving for Operations activities within the Richland Center manufacturing facility.

  • Manage cycle count / inventory accuracy programs. Provide analysis of root cause of errors and initiate corrective action.

  • Work with BU Finance and Operations Finance to review, reserve and disposition excess, obsolete, and orphan inventory.

  • Develop inventory plans in support of the annual operation plan (AOP) by working with the BU, Finance, and Materials.

    Qualifications:
    Basic Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree

    Preferred Qualifications
    • BS or BA Degree in Operations/Materials/or Supply Chain preferred
    • SAP ERP system functionality and parameters knowledge
    • Leadership experience within a production or inventory control environment
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in Materials or Operations Management
    • Experience with production and career band employee management
    • APICS, CPIM or CSCP certification is preferred
