Westfield Quality Care in Aurora is now hiring Evening and Night shift CNA's and Med Aides.
Must have valid CNA certification. Med Aide must be 40 hour med aide certification. We are currently offering a $1,000 sign on bonus for CNA's and Med Aides on Evening and Night shifts.
CNAs assist patients with daily activities and while some CNAs have additional responsibilities, such as administering medication, the core functions on the job include:
Bathe and dress patients
Serve meals and help patients eat
Take vital signs
Turn or reposition patients who are bedridden
Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses and doctors
Provide and empty bedpans
Lift patients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc.
Answer patient calls
Examine patients for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries/wounds
Clean and sanitize patient areas
Change bed sheets and restock rooms with necessary supplies
Med Aides - Day-to-day job duties carried out by certified medication aides differ based on the facility they work at, the number of patients they administer medication to, and the number of family members and visitors coming into the facility. These core tasks, however, are essentially the same in all work environments:
Supervise and Observe Patients
Take Vital Signs
Certified medication aides take and record patient vital signs.
Flag Problem Prescriptions
Follow Safe Handling Procedures
Assist Nursing Staff
