The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking a qualified individual to fill the Manager of Administrative Services II position. 

The responsibilities assigned to the successful candidate will include: conducts facilities inspections and identifies security improvements; manages the access control system and issues identification cards; manages video surveillance system including repairs and purchases of cameras and recording equipment and working Judicial Marshals, Local and State police liaisons; manages weapons detection system repairs and purchases; manages cellblock locking control systems and other physical security equipment.

The successful candidate will possess knowledge of the principles and practices of physical security with an emphasis on weapons detection, video surveillance, access control and locking systems; considerable interpersonal skills; considerable oral and written communication skills; computer skills; supervisory ability.

Starting Salary $104,906 – plus State of Connecticut benefits


General Experience:  Ten years of professional experience in the assigned area of responsibility.

Special Experience:  Two (2) years of the General Experience must have been in a supervisory capacity.                           

Substitutions Allowed:

  1. College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to a maximum of four years for a Bachelor’s degree.
  2. A Master’s degree related to the assigned area of responsibility may be substituted for one additional year of the General Experience.

Special Requirements:  Incumbents will be required to travel in the course of their daily work.
