Description

Analog Circuit Designer, IBM Corporation, Austin, TX: High Speed Input Output (IO) Circuit Designer delivering cutting edge intellectual properties across mission critical IBM server/mainframe chips. Executing a detailed circuit design flow, in-depth circuit analysis, schematic level design, layout design and logic design. Designing transistor level design of circuitry like bias circuits, Continuous Time Line Equalizer (CTLE), Dynamic Feedback Equalization (DFE), phase rotator, and other various IO transmitter, receiver circuits running from a few hundred Mbps to 50gbs in advanced node (14nm and beyond). Verifying circuit designs by running post layout simulations in fixed corners, Montecarlo, electro migration and device self-heating. Using commercial CAD tools such as Cadence ADEXL/ GXL, Virtuoso, Solido, Mento graphics and scripting languages like PERL, Tool Command Language (TCL). Utilize Analog and Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit Design, Cadence Virtuoso Schematic, Layout Design and Post-Layout Optimization, Spectre, Montecarlo and Analog and Mixed Signal (AMS) simulation and Verilog, hardware design language programming and scripting. Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as an Analog Circuit Designer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Analog and Mixed Signal Integrated Circuit Design, Cadence Virtuoso Schematic, Layout Design and Post-Layout Optimization, Spectre, Montecarlo and Analog and Mixed Signal (AMS) simulation and Verilog, hardware design language programming and scripting.
