The display engineering organization is looking for a display architect to bring to life new display features that will surprise and delight Apple customers. You will use your electrical and software background to architect and implement complex next-generation display technologies. In this interdisciplinary role, you will be collaborating with display architecture, system architecture, silicon architecture, graphics software, OS teams, and more. You will also engage with internal customer experience partners and the Pro Workflow team to better understand and serve customer requirements. Key Qualifications

  • - Strong electrical engineering fundamentals, math, and analytical skills
  • - Prior complex system or custom silicon design experience
  • - Proficient in software (examples: AppKit/UIKit, Swift, Objective-C) and script development (example: Python)
  • - Excellent written skills for clear reporting of data analysis and conclusions
  • - Attention to project details and task tracking
  • - Strong verbal communication skills across organizations and at the executive level
  • - A passion for delivering world-class display features to our customers
  • - Some background in computer science, software, or firmware development is preferred


- Leads development of complex display features spanning hardware, firmware, and software - Performs detailed engineering analysis and design in interdisciplinary teams to bridge the gap between theory and implementation - Investigates and drives new display technologies through independent research, prototyping, modeling, and demos - Authors high-quality and thorough engineering requirements and specifications for cross-functional teams - Supports design implementations at the hardware, firmware, and software levels as well as in the factory - Defines performance metrics and requirements considering power, performance, and human perception - Envisions novel ideas, concepts, and applications that will propel our displays to new levels of quality and performance - Have a passion for applying their unique technical skills to improving the customer experience

Education & Experience

- MS / PhD 5 or more years of relevant work experience
