Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform patient care activities to assist physicians and nursing personnel, including procedures, injections, EKGs
  • Record patient care documentation in the medical record
  • Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians, company standards and policies
  • Organize exam and treatment rooms and sterilize instruments
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • Graduate from an accredited medical assistant program 
  • Microsoft Office and typing proficiency 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of health insurance: HMO, PPO, Medicare and Medicaid 
  • Current BLS Card OR willingness to obtain it in 30 days 
  • Certified medical assistant
  • 1+ years medical assistant work experience
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Experience in primary care or internal medicine
