This position is located in the Bureau for Management, Office of Management Services, Headquarters Management Division (M/MS/HMD). The Headquarters Management Division (M/MS/HMD) provides project coordination for construction, space management and design, and relocation/consolidation activities, including moving personal property and personnel. M/MS/HMD is also responsible for overall facilities management at Agency headquarters locations; manages real property; and acquires, controls, and distributes personal and nonexpendable property. Under the direction of the Director M/MS, negotiates with private sector organizations and GSA on acquisition and leasing arrangements for USAID/W real property; advises the senior real property official in developing property management policies and programs; provides services for mail distribution, the diplomatic pouch, printing, graphics, and the dissemination of classified documents; operates the USAID/W motor pool; develops and implements the USAID/W copy management system and program; administers the Metro Transit and Parking programs; establishes artistic standards for exhibits, publications, graphic services, and controls Agency exhibits.
As a Supervisory Support Services Specialist, you will:
- Supervise teams of employees performing work up to the GS-14 level. Responsible for Facilities Management and administrative services for Agency Headquarter operations. Provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit. Perform the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised.
- Maintain an awareness and familiarity with changes or anticipated changes, plans and programs in the Agency that may detect, or have impact on, the use of the facilities, structures, utilities, furniture, and furnishings. Direct and manage programs, operations, and activities and ensures they are in conformance with policy, applicable laws, and regulations.
- Perform long and short range planning to ensure the most effective use of manpower, money, and material resources within the areas of responsibility. Make recommendations regarding general administrative and support services policies with Agency-wide impacts; performs long and short range planning to ensure the most effective use of manpower, money, and material resources within the areas of responsibility.
- Develop and implement accurate, thorough, and up-to-date records management policies/procedures to facilitate effective and efficient record-keeping programs agency wide.

Ensure the proper execution of all work within a defined scope, including planning/design documentation; construction administration; move management; procurement delivery and installation of furniture; coordination of voice and data cabling and network installations; and related coordination with IT, Security, Facilities, and related project stakeholders.
Serve as Lead Project Manager for all new leases and renovation of existing leases.
- Prepare reports on project status, secure project authorizations, and develop and maintain schedules, cost reports, and other relevant project information
