  Job Description

DEFINITION

Under general supervision, performs data entry functions and a variety of clerical duties by performing the following duties.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Interview clients, collect client data, address the data and determine the client’s eligibility for programs.
  • Compile data for clients file.
  • Operate alphabetical and/or numerical or combination data entry device; inputs information and interview forms into CRT; updates and maintains data; and closes files out.
  • Access "menus" in order to retrieve data from the Sheriff's and DA's files.
  • Assist in the maintenance of paper files and records.
  • May complete and record follow-up calls to clients and referral calls as necessary.
  • May prepare and forward warrant letter form to the client.
  • Answer in-coming calls; relays calls; takes messages or gives information as necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Education equivalent to graduation from a standard four year high school including or supplemented by courses in typing and data entry operations and two years of satisfactory full time paid employment in a court services related program. 

 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
