Sodexo is currently seeking a dynamic Vice President – Logistics. I_n the context of our global transformation to strongly contribute to Service Operations performance, the VP Logistics will identify and accelerate the development of our Logistics Solutions in the region supporting the business needs in all segments within the _region and_ aligning to the group Strategy. _This role offers a qualified leader within the industry the opportunity t_o build a high performing team, (lead, mentor, develop), set direction and have great impact. Is exciting and at the heart of what we are building in Sodexo. The transformation will allow significant ability to contribute; providing impactful solutions all across North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, secure, transparent and traceable supply chain
  • Create the conditions that will all the best purchasing practice in the region
  • Manage the cost and service delivery to the unit, with a focus on efficiency, effectiveness and competitiveness to support growth
  • To adapt and evolve the current distribution model to the changing business model of Sodexo
  • Support the growth of _the Entegra business with distribution programs that fit their dynamic needs

Additional Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the SO Platform and family leads to effectively coordinate and prioritize activities in Canada to ensure alignment with NorAm
  • Coordinate the activities of the Service Operations resources based on the segments priorities and needs
  • Ensure alignment of the NorAm SO strategy
  • Accountable for seamless communication within the SO team and with the other dimensions
  • Escalate any issues relating to SO in Canada
  • Discuss and work on alternative solutions for Canada when options deployed in US are not possible in Canada
  • Represent the Canadian business needs (singularities, laws, markets, etc.) at the SOLT
  • Coordinate, as appropriate, the relations between the different dimensions
  • Represents SO at the Country Leadership Committee (CLC )
  • Participate or ensures participation to sales meeting (RFP, New account openings, business review) as needed
  • Lead the SO Champion Council

This position reports to the Senior Vice President - Supply Management for North America with additional reporting to the global Senior Vice President for Logistics and the NorAm SO Lead

The ideal candidate will have 10 + years of related experience within distribution of food service, food chain, fast food, restaurant chain distribution and logistics leadership role and

  • Have proven ability to build relationships and consensus.
  • Must understand order guide and embrace change management.
  • Be a strong influencer with ability to drive compliance
  • Have great business acumen and communication skills
  • Proven team building and leadership skill

Location and Travel

This role home office based and will require up to 40% travel.

Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
Basic Management Experience - 10 years
