Position Summary:
Responsible for strategic management of Rockwell Automation's 3 million square foot corporate headquarters facility located in Milwaukee, WI and for facilities support of the Mequon, WI facility.

Create an efficient, comfortable, and safe work environment for employees at these sites while minimizing environmental impact. Implement programs to reduce operating expenses and increase productivity. Accountable for developing major construction and renovation proposals, facility related capital planning and control of operating expense budget. Provide facility engineering construction and consulting services on a worldwide basis.

Develop and implement the Facility Capital Plan. Prepare an annual budget and direct the personnel responsible for implementing the plan. Develop and control the Facility Expense Plan.

Prepare an annual budget, monitor, and control spending to stay within budget. Drive year over year productivity projects, including utility reduction activities. Directly supervise salaried employees engaged in project management and hourly supervisory activities. Provide direction to all in-house maintenance personnel and contract service providers to properly maintain the building. Develop annual goals for all employees, complete performance reviews and plan salary actions.

Manage large infrastructure and building repair projects to timely, on-budget completion. Manage office renovation projects, including preparation of design documents, submittal to city for plan review, procurement of permits, hiring of contractors and supervision of work. Assure compliance to all city, state, and federal laws as they apply to the facility, including all applicable building codes.

Manage site inspections by Rockwell's insurance underwriter and implement any required corrective actions. Develop other communication strategies to help define the needs of building occupants. Work with Rockwell real estate to design and construct buildings worldwide to a uniform set of standards. Contract for the maintenance and caretaking of vacant buildings worldwide until they are disposed of by the real estate group. Provide technical support (rigging, transportation, utilities) for product transfers between manufacturing sites. Maintain the highest level of ethical behavior and compliance to Rockwell's business conduct policies.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering related field required, Electrical Engineering preferred.
  • Supervisory or management training required.
  • At least 8 years of facility management experience required.
  • State of Wisconsin Professional Engineering license preferred.
