Sodexo is seeking a Patient Transport Operations Manager at Erlanger Medical Center located in Chattanooga, TN. The Erlanger Health System ( ) is a multi-hospital system with several campuses based in Chattanooga – the Erlanger Baroness Campus, T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital at Erlanger Campus, Erlanger North Campus and Erlanger East Campus and covers approximately 2 million total cleanable square feet. Erlanger is the 9th largest public hospital in the United States and has been recognized four consecutive years as "Chattanooga's number one hospital" by U.S. News and World Report.

As the Operations Manager, you will supervise approximately 50 FTEs in the patient transport department and will report to the General Manager. This position is a “hands-on” position that works closely with your staff. The ideal candidate will have worked in either a hospital or healthcare environment as a Manager in either ES/Housekeeping and/or Patient Transportation. Must be able to work well with diverse workforce. Will also be responsible for employee training. Must be familiar with health care regulatory agencies and employee safety programs. Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills required. High energy for fast paced environment. Client engagement and patient satisfaction is essential for the success of this role. This position may include some weekends and holidays.

Position Summary

Number two position at an account/unit providing one of the following services (Transport, Concierge or SRC). Assumes General Manager's responsibilities and authority in his/her absence. Supervises managers in multiple service areas. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations.


Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years work experience in functional areas such as call center technology, computer applications, process improvement, or related areas
