Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Operations, the Associate Community Outreach Rep will be responsible for the day to day functions of an Optum Community Center in Hemet, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports day to day operations of our community center
  • Assist in teaching a variety of fun, interactive health & wellness classes to a broad spectrum of ages and functional capacities
  • Lead and oversee daily activities both in person and virtually
  • Develops, Maintains and Updates the Center's Calendar of Events
  • Establish and maintain relationships with other agencies and organizations in the community for programming and resourcing
  • Administers RSVP message center for participant registration in program and activity offerings
  • Maintain and foster a positive environment to retain Community Centers’ attendees
  • Researches and assists with evaluation of various programs, activities and services
  • Compiles and completes all necessary Community Center reporting
  • Assists with Audio/Visual and other equipment set up prior to events
  • Maintains equipment inventory and program supplies
  • Monitors that facility is properly maintained
  • Performs all other related duties, as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related experience
  • 2+ years of superior customer service
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • You will be asked to perform this role in an office setting or other location, however, may be required to work from home temporarily due to space limitations.
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. When in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are required to wear a mask in common areas. In addition, employees must comply with any state and local masking orders.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor Degree
  • 2+ years of marketing,  project management, communications and/or marketing campaign development or event planning experience
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)
  • Previous community outreach experience
  • Creative, outgoing, service minded personality
