The Interactive Media Group (IMG) is at the center of audio, video and graphics support in Apple's innovative products, including the AirPods, HomePod, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, IMG's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Game Audio, Siri, FaceTime, media capture, playback and API's for third party developers to enrich our platforms. The team is looking for talented engineers who are passionate about building audio features and products for millions of customers and care about overall user experience. You will revolutionize the audio experience for game and future audio technologies. The team is looking for a highly motivated and hardworking software engineer to build and maintain our machine learning R&D workflow.

Key Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in software development, including machine learning workflows, from data processing to performance analysis
  • Experience in building scalable software operating on large datasets and with a high degree of task parallelism
  • Software programming in Python, C, C++
  • Experience with machine learning tools such as TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch
  • Knowledge of machine learning concepts and ability to implement techniques such as curriculum learning and neural architecture search
  • Knowledge of audio technologies, concepts and theory, signal processing

Description

As part of the audio team, you will own the machine learning workflows and collaborate with researchers and developers in creating state-of-the art audio processing and inference engines. Among the various responsibilities for the position you will: Design, build and maintain machine learning workflows Work closely with researchers and developers to implement, refactor and integrate ML-DSP algorithms into the workflows Adopt company-wide tools and integrate them into the workflows Create and maintain documentation for the tools and manage version control Manage data pipelines Work with all levels of engineers from junior to Apple veteran

Education & Experience

M.S. in CS, Industry experience or equivalent.

Additional Requirements

  • Expertise in software architecture and API design is a plus
  • Experience with version control management is a plus
  • Experience with installing/handling Python packages is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for solving problems
