Siouxland District Health Department is looking for a Health Promotion Specialist to coordinate Tobacco Prevention and Education Programming, food policy and chronic disease prevention, data collection and general outreach work focused on general public health topics to make Woodbury County a healthy place to live, work and play.
Duties include providing outreach and education to articulate evidence-based approaches for tobacco prevention by key stakeholders as it pertains to improving tobacco policy and improving system changes; and influence policy and system changes through accurate, persuasive communications with public partners, health agency leaders and policy makers.
This position requires a Masters degree in Public Health, Health Education, or other related disciplines with three years related experience or Bachelors degree in Public Health, Health Education, or other related disciplines with five years of related experience. Applicant must have reliable transportation, valid drivers license. Candidate for hire must pass background checks, physical exam, and drug screening prior to employment.
