USPS General Trades Technician Job Opening #48161/Full-Time Florida State University Panama City Application deadline: Open until filledApplications will be reviewed as they are received. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalency and two years of experience related to the duties of this position. (Note: or a Vocational/technical degree in a related area may substitute for the required experience.) Ability to meet the physical demands of the position to include standing, bending, reaching, stooping for long periods of time, lift/move up to 50 lbs in excess and work under all weather conditions. Knowledge of processes, procedures, and methods used in facilities operations. Knowledge of general maintenance principles, practices and techniques. Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions. Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal to moderate supervision. Ability to demonstrate effective customer service skills. A valid State of Florida driver's license or the ability to obtain upon hire. Benefits eligible position: Employees earn 4 hours of annual leave AND 4 hours of sick leave per biweekly pay period, one personal holiday per year, and get 9 paid holidays. This position qualifies for state health, dental and vision insurance, as well as participation in the Florida Retirement System pension plan with vesting after only 8 years of service!
