The Psychology Department at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a nine-month, non-tenure earning Lecturer position. This position, located on the university’s Orlando campus, will support the Clinical Psychology Track of our Psychology BS program. Based on current workload policy, duties will include teaching a 4/4 load of large face-to-face, hybrid, and online courses (ranging between 75 and 450 students) and service in support of the program and the department in general.

The Psychology Department at UCF emphasizes breadth of psychology while allowing students to pursue one of six specialized tracks (Clinical Psychology, Industrial Organizational Psychology, Human Factors, Experimental Psychology, Neuroscience, and General). Psychology is one of the most popular majors at UCF, with over 4,000 undergraduate majors and 150+ graduate students. Despite our number of majors and class size, we emphasize critical thinking, strong written and oral communication skills, and professional development. This is accomplished by offering career readiness, research opportunities, and high impact learning experiences such as honors theses, undergraduate teaching assistant internships, peer advising internships, service learning, and study abroad.

The College of Sciences (COS) houses most of the university’s natural, computational, and social sciences in eight departments, two schools, and eleven centers. The college’s programs play a key role in advancing UCF as a national research university that is determined to help students from all backgrounds achieve success. For more information, visit
