Sodexo is seeking an Account Project Manager - Health & Safety located in Waltham, MA.

This position will report to the Corporate Services HSE Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management of HSE related projects and projects directly related to facilities management (i.e. mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management)
  • Supporting client and third-party audits of Sodexo HSE activities
  • Timely reporting and investigation of HSE related incidents and audit findings
  • Added value to the business through implementing efficient, standardized systems and processes
  • Maintain an effective relationship with the client and corporate EHS groups as required
  • Maintain communication with key Sodexo and client personnel, monitoring HSE and providing support, advice and expertise to operational teams at the site level
  • Provide expertise in Health, Safety and Business Risk and advice and consultancy for Sodexo employees at client sites
  • Perform site walkthroughs and inspections for HSE compliance for all IFM services which Sodexo provide to the client
  • Work with client and Sodexo teams to investigate, analyze root-causes and implement corrective actions where HSE deficiencies are discovered
  • Present HSE related topics to Sodexo and client management and produce reports as required
  • Conduct training in HSE topics to the wider Sodexo operations team and third parties where necessary
  • Formulate, implement, monitor and review HSE plans (including the setting of objectives, agreeing priorities and establishing adequate systems for performance management) to ensure implementation of legislative requirements and best practice
  • Initiate plans and manages resources to ensure efficient and cost-effective strategies for occupational health, safety and environmental performance, in addition to partnering with leadership to instill an operational excellence culture.
  • Other duties include training of staff, overseeing work, proactive evaluation of potential hazards, thorough reporting and safety communications.
  • Measure the effectiveness of Operational Excellence / HS&E strategies and programs in a fact based and objective manner.
  • Promote and develop a health and safety culture which secures effective implementation of policy, procedures and responsibilities

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Project Management Experience
  • Pharmaceutical Experience is desired
  • Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in engineering, science, and or industrial hygiene/occupational health and safety
  • Functional Experience - 3 years of related experience
  • Strong technical knowledge of the following: mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, structural, safety systems, architectural, landscape and energy management;
  • Exceptional customer service, relationship building and communication skills;
  • Strong Leadership skills with a focus on staff development and team building
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required;
  • Experience with CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) preferred.

Position Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure a safe work environment at client sites by providing HS&E and/or Quality Assurance consultation. This role drives a safety culture at the site level. This position is responsible for ensuring the implementation and compliance with North American and client safety guidelines. Ensures legal compliance to all Federal (Provincial), State and Local regulations.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience - 2 years of related experience
