What started as a small group of families gathered around a kitchen table in 1979 has blossomed into the nation's leading voice on mental health. The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is the nation's largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness.

Today, we are an alliance of hundreds of local affiliates, state organizations and a national office who work in communities across the United States to raise awareness and provide support and education that was not previously available to those in need. NAMI advocates for all who are affected by mental illness, both the individuals and the people in their lives. In particular, we work to address disparities and injustices and to promote dignity and inclusion for all people with mental illness and their families. In addition to being advocates, we educate, we listen, and we lead as evidenced by our public awareness campaigns, the range of numerous programs we provide, and our strong public policy.

We currently have an opening for a Manager, Training, Delivery & Operations. The incumbent is responsible for overseeing our training of trainers (TT) event and for supporting and improving Information, Support & Education (ISE) online training courses and systems more broadly. During TT, we identify and train strong program leader candidates to becomes trainers of new program leaders in both English and Spanish. The training event is offered in both an in-person and online format. The addition of online training of trainers will add to a large catalog of existing program leader trainings we currently maintain and offer.


Oversee and provide logistics management for the online and in-person training of trainers events
Work with Subject Matter Experts to gather and analyze event evaluation data to for continued improvement of outcomes
Work with Program Managers to prioritize enhancement and change requests that impact our online trainings, including tracking & prioritizing backlog requests
Monitor reoccurring issues, system/data or process gaps and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements
Recognize and resolve issues that arise with course design, configuration or infrastructure
Oversee technical and troubleshooting resources for NAMI state and affiliate leaders in relation to online training delivery
Manage vendor relationships, communications and products to ensure quality and timely operations
Work with vendors to incorporate accessibility and inclusion elements into event and training design
Travel to events to provide onsite management as needed (2-5 times a year)
Assist with convention-related activities
Perform other duties as assigned



Spanish-language skills highly preferred
Bachelor's degree preferred
Two to four years' experience in a similar role with a non-profit
Excellent project management skills
Prior experience with LMS platforms and online learning systems
Strong organizational skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite

Must pass background check.
