Apple's Interactive Media Group (IMG) provides the media and graphics software foundation across all of Apple's innovative products, from iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, to Apple TV, iTunes, and macOS, as well as Apple's professional and consumer applications. IMG drives Apple's media experiences with core technologies such as Metal, QuickTime, OpenGL, OpenCL, Core Audio, Quartz Composer, Core Video, Core Animation, and more.

Key Qualifications

  • 3 or more years of QA/QE experience
  • Experienced in Bash, Python, or C/C++
  • Strong macOS skills
  • Proven understanding of UNIX-based systems and command-line tools for debugging, analysis, and automation

Description

IMG's GPU Software Test Engineering team is seeking an experienced, self-motivated quality engineer with a real passion for making the Mac experience the best it can be. Testing efforts will target the latest technologies for Mac mobile and desktop platforms, working closely with engineering teams to ensure product quality. The test effort includes hands-on functional testing, bug reporting/regression, maintaining test guidelines, and development and execution of automated tests. The successful candidate should have a strong aptitude for learning new technologies, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to drive sophisticated and meaningful projects. Tight-knit collaboration with engineering teams and an ability to thrive under pressure are key skills required to succeed in this role. Day to day duties: - Execute manual & automated testing, passionate about Mac technologies - Support triaging of internal bug reports - Analyze test results of automated system, conduct defect isolation by means of data-mining and comparative analysis - Provide status reports for the team, multi-functional partners, and management - Work with multi-functional partners to examine the various testing and issues reported

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in EE, CS, or Equivalent experience
