ALSAC/St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – the fund-raising organization of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – is currently looking for an Engineer II - Web Software as follows.

Provides technical leadership to our Web Software Engineer and Web Development Administrators staff, including recommending and implementing web policies; project management, operational procedures for developing specific web-based projects.  Provides project leadership to ensure project design and development is appropriately aligned with overall internet development strategies.  Supports the development of applications and works effectively with business teams throughout coding, unit testing, integration testing, and load testing.  Plans and schedules all phases of Internet application development, as well as creating proposals, including methodology and time requirements for the completion of assignments.  Provides support for maintenance and continuous improvement of existing applications.  Incorporates and implements information on design “look and feel,” as well as content from sales and marketing or outside design consultants for website.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field and 6 years technical, analytical, systems and programming experience.

Experience may have been obtained concurrently and must include: 

• 6 years of experience in HTML, JavaScript, JSP, Java, JDBC, PL/SQL, XML, J2EE, JQuery and Web Services;
• 5 years of experience with UNIX-Shell Scripting, Apache, Oracle, and Weblogic;
• 6 years of experience with third-party databases, libraries, interfaces, and internet protocols; and
• 5 years of experience in eBusiness, eCommerce, and eMarketing techniques.
