Brief Summary of Job Description
The Department of Marketing, Agribusiness, and Supply Chain Management at the University of Nebraska at Kearney is seeking applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Agribusiness position beginning August 2021. Applicants must have the ability to effectively teach undergraduate agribusiness courses, conduct research in their area of specialty, and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities include teaching a full-time course load. Primary teaching areas include Farm and Ranch Management and Agricultural Finance; other possible areas include Principles of Micro-and Macro-Economics, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Price Analysis, Agricultural Policy, Agribusiness Management, and other upper-division courses as necessary to meet needs of the program. Other responsibilities are working with student organizations and engaging in service activities. The Department is housed in the UNK College of Business and Technology.

Job Duties
Teaching a full-time course load. Primary teaching areas include Farm and Ranch Management and Agricultural Finance; other possible areas include Principles of Micro-and Macro-Economics, Agricultural Marketing, Agricultural Price Analysis, Agricultural Policy, Agribusiness Management, and other upper-division courses as necessary to meet needs of the program.
Conducting scholarly research that leads to publication in quality peerreviewed journals. Engaging in internal and external service activities. Advising students and working with student organizations. Pursuing professional development.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics,or related field. All but dissertation (ABD) will be considered if program completion is expected by May 2022.
Teaching experience and a commitment to teaching excellence. Interest in and ability to conduct high-quality research. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
University teaching experience. Online teaching experience. Quality publication history. Industry experience in Agribusiness, ability to teach undergraduate Economics courses.
