That's where you come in.As the Technical Product Management Lead, you will perform the necessary leadership, analysis, and design tasks related to the development of effective cloud and enterprise software solution architectures at Rockwell Automation. The role is responsible for high level definition of business requirements, coordinating engineering solution designs, often working with technology partners, through understanding of organizational and business needs and ensuring fit with architectural standards, best practices, and roadmap.We are looking for a talented, passionate, and experienced Technical Product Management leader to translate business requirements into the best technical implementation in a fast-paced, agile environment. The ideal candidate should be hands-on, as well as have the ability to lead a small and energetic team on a project basis.*Preferred location is Mayfield Heights Ohio, Milwaukee Wisconsin or San Jose California. We will also consider other remote Rockwell Locations in the US.What you will doTake a leadership role in translating business requirements into a technical definition for the next generation FactoryTalk Automation Software platform offering, including collaboration with product management, advanced technology, and engineering teams.Identify and standardize platform components, define and refine processes, and tools to meet organizational needs and business objectives.Participate in all phases of the technology delivery lifecycle for related projects and initiatives, while continuously seeking ways to refine and enhance the implementation methodologies. The successful candidate will possess a broad range of technical experience, coupled with strong analytical capabilities, and excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation skills, and business acumen.Work in collaboration with development teams and other technical lead resources to create POCs, define and communicate best practices, approach and direction for the technical aspects of our cloud-based business applications and solutions.Partners with software leadership to assist in establishing a technical vision and work closely with delivery teams to ensure adherence to vision and guidelines during implementation.Work to define technical requirements and work with supporting teams to ensure that commercial terms are appropriate. Basic qualificationsBachelor's degree.Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.Preferred qualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Technical discipline.Minimum 8 years of experience in software development - technical product management with focus on cloud and enterprise software.Three or more years of architectural skills dealing with Cloud Native solutions that include Docker, Kubernetes, Multi-Cloud, Blockchain, IoT, Cognitive, Dev/Ops and CloudThree or more years of migration strategies including host-based, hypervisor-based, storage-based, and re-implementationOne or more years of experience with networking; for Cloud-Native; especially secure connectivity between on-premise and cloudOne or more years of experience with Cloud Native High Availability approach; especially Multi-Zone Regions (MZR)Two or more years of experience with multi-cloud including AWS, Azure, and Google - experience with Azure and/or collaborating with Microsoft is strongly preferredThree or more years of experience building working relationships with decision-makers including portfolio managers, architects, and delivery teamsExperience with commercial agreements and open sourceGood interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsMust be able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time.Technical and commercial understanding of Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture desired.Experience managing (direct or indirect) a team of 3 to 5 people with varied roles and responsibilities.Ability to execute a disciplined portfolio process in a large business unit.
