That's where you come in.As the Software Commercial Leader, you will lead a team responsible for coordinating the commercial planning, go-to-market strategy, product pricing and packaging offering, product promotion activity, and launch readiness and execution for the new FactoryTalk Automation software. You will work closely with strategic marketing, global sales & marketing, third party partners and other Rockwell product groups to achieve defined objectives. This position will allow you to collaborate with multiple global cross-functional teams and customers.**Preferred location is Mayfield Heights Ohio, Milwaukee Wisconsin or San Jose California. We will also consider other remote Rockwell Locations in the US.What you will doTake a leadership role in defining and coordinating the go-to-market strategy and launch of the next generation FactoryTalk Automation Software portfolio, including collaboration with sales, commercial marketing, and other groups as appropriate to implement the plans.Determine the total market (domestic and international) and available market for the product line and for preparing product revenue forecasts. Determine product pricing and recommended pricing policies based on established company objectives and preparation of plans for margin improvement where necessary. Product promotion and product introduction plans including trade shows, product literature, training plan and product distribution plan to achieve business objectives. Responsible for coordinating customer facing software preview release programs working to derive maximum value for both the company and users. Competitive analysis and formulation of competitive counter strategies for new products and existing products. Attend technical symposiums and exhibits to maintain knowledge on available and competitive technology.Responsible for developing short- and long-range product line business plans consistent with market needs and strategic plans.Provide leadership in decision-making and problem-solving to ensure successful business performance.Responsible for developing talent on the team.Define and communicate market and customer requirements. Basic qualificationsBachelor's degree.Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job openingPreferred qualificationsBachelor's degree in business management, engineering, technical marketing, or equivalentMinimum of 10 years of experience in technical marketing and/or business leadershipAbility to lead and collaborate across a wide spectrum of people and functions including: business leadership, development engineering, inter-business unit, finance, operations, global business development, field sales, quality engineering, commercial engineering, human resources.Good interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsMust be able and willing to travel up to 10% of the time.Automation industry knowledge with control system background desired.Experience managing (direct or indirect) a team of 3 to 5 people with varied roles and responsibilities.Ability to execute a disciplined portfolio process in a large business unit.Demonstrated understanding of Rockwell Automation's limited distribution go to market strategy, and previous experience collaborating with Channel Partners is preferred.
