Job Summary:

Accountable for delivering sustainable and profitable sales growth and market share with retailers and end users in the defined territory. Responsible for identifying and providing effective solutions to realize sales opportunities along with the implementation of products, programs and services.



  • Sell in Benjamin Moore & Co. Products to Retailers in & out of network
  • Sell in the Programs, Promotions & Services to support the Benjamin Moore strategy
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with brand standards


  • Sell in Benjamin Moore & Co. Products to Pro End Users
  • Sell in the Programs, Promotions & Services to support the Benjamin Moore strateg
  • Close sales opportunities by generating leads, identifying targets, coordinating pricing with retailers and conducting consistent field sales calls on end users
  • Plan and facilitate End User Events, trade shows and regular contractor breakfasts using sales presentations & product demonstrations
  • Conduct Job Site visits providing guidance and recommendations on product selection, application and technical information including green standards
  • Write / follow up on specifications and project submittals


  • Manage territory to optimize distribution
  • Build relationships in a consultative & advisory role
  • Develop and implement comprehensive Business Plans
  • Record and track sales activities


  • Create an ongoing training plan for the Store & End User Professionals to educate on product knowledge & customer service
  • Drive the use of all available education tools and resources
  • Effectively lead individual and group training activities
  • Support End User Application Training and Certification programs


  • BA/BS college degree preferred, or equivalent industry business experience
  • Two to five years B2B sales experience, preferably in paint sales
  • Knowledge of Retail Process and Best Practices
  • Working knowledge of required software programs (Microsoft Office, CRM)
  • Excellent communication, listening and public speaking skills
  • Ability to analyze situation and identify opportunities for success
  • Effective decision making and problem solving skills
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record a must.
  • Ability to work evenings & weekends when necessary
  • Ability to travel
