Yakima County District Court Probation

Probation Officer

$25.64 per hour/40 hours per week
Yakima County District Court Probation Department has one opening for an adult Probation Officer. Probation Officers are responsible for supervising offender’s conditions that have been placed on probation pursuant to a court order. Additionally, Probation Officers teach skill classes, participate in therapeutic courts, process interstate compact applications and perform other responsibilities as required.
Education and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Social Work or a related field; and two years of previous work experience in case management and/or supervision of offenders in a probation department or similar agency (i.e. department of corrections, jail facility etc.) or equivalent; or any combination of experience or training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
