THE POSITION

The Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) is recruiting for a Maintenance Mechanic. This position will be responsible for maintaining plant equipment, pipelines and structures/grounds. Plant equipment work can include installation and removal of pumps, grinders, UV system, Primary Clarifiers, Aeration Basins, heavy equipment operation, landscaping maintenance and cleanup as needed.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

       One (1) year journey-level experience in the repair and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment such as pumps, motors, valves and engines.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

       Possession of a CWEA Grade I Mechanical Technologist Certificate within three (3) testing cycles, or 24 months (whichever comes first).

       Possession of a valid California Driver's License at time of appointment.
