The Ellensburg Police Department has a current police officer vacancy and is establishing an eligibility list for Entry and Lateral Police Officer.

The City of Ellensburg contracts with Public Safety Testing (PST) to conduct testing for our police officer positions (both entry and lateral.) To view agency requirements and to schedule a test date please visit their website at www.publicsafetytesting.com. We will be accepting scores from PST through the January 29, 2021 testing. This position is represented by Teamsters Local #760.
Salary: $5,048 - $6,574/month (depending on qualifications/experience) plus benefits, education incentive, fitness incentive, incentive pay for specialty positions, and longevity pay when eligible.
Applicants must agree to a credit check and be in good credit standing having no debts currently assigned to collections with a history that reflects no pattern of credit instability. The applicant must not have a pending garnishment or judgement which may cause undue hardship while employed with this agency, with the exception of child support. The hiring authority shall determine the status of applicant’s credit history on a case by case basis.
