Fact Check Reporter

USA TODAY is seeking a reporter to join its fact check team, which works primarily to vet questionable or misleading information circulating online and on social platforms.

The reporter should have strong research and writing skills. Previous reporting experience is required. Fairness and accuracy are paramount, as are strong writing, excellent news judgment and source building.
We're looking for a team player who is capable of working collaboratively with editors, other team members and reporters throughout USA TODAY and the 260 sites in the USA TODAY Network.
This position may require early morning, evening or weekend work and can be based anywhere.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism or any subject in a liberal arts field from an accredited institution
Professional reporting experience/internship required
Strong research skills
