- Experience in modeling mechanical systems from first principles
- Experience in multibody dynamics modeling and analysis
- Experience working with Matlab and Simulink coding environments
Engineer to develop component and subsystem models of mechanical systems integrate them into a system level model, and apply said model to analyze andoptimize system performance and inform component, subsystem, and system level design decisions for ongoing R&D. Your objective will be to develop mathematical and physical models and analysis techniques to optimize the a new Apple product's definition and performance, influencing component and subsystem design and development. You will work closely within the modeling and simulation team with close links to design teams to develop appropriate models, ranging from simple analytical formations, through to multibody system models with flexibly body representations where required. This will involve identifying the proper level of fidelity required given systems level modeling priorities, building new models from first principles, as well as translating, modifying, and adapting models from other teams. You will also apply models to analyze and optimize system performance and inform component, subsystem, and system level design decisions.
Education & Experience
PhD or MSEE or BSEE plus minimum 4 years industry experience
