Member Service Representative Department: Member Services
Location: Niceville, FL
CHELCO, a not-for-profit electric cooperative, seeks a Member Service Representative to work in our Member Service office and provide exemplary service to our members/consumers. This position would report to the CHELCO Bluewater Bay Office. Normal business hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday with some variation possible. As a Member Service Representative, you would respond to member requests and inquiries. Use established guidelines and policies to exceed member expectations. You would help keep member accounts updated in databases and route service orders. You would also communicate cooperative programs and services that benefit our members. A high school diploma or equivalent is required and at least one year of customer service experience.Must have strength in problem sensitivity, service orientation, and persuasion. Must have good problem solving and active listening skills.Must be able to utilize math skills to balance a cash drawer.Must have basic computer skills and be comfortable with programs similar to Microsoft Office and internet applications.Should be comfortable communicating billing information.Should have some knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology. Cash handling/drawer balancing experience preferred. A minimum typing speed of 35 wpm is preferred.
