Chief Operating Officer.  To strengthen operations and expand the role of lay leadership, the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany seeks a strategic, experienced business leader with demonstrated skills in operations and in developing effective teams. 

The Albany Diocese covers a large geography of 14 counties in upstate New York with approximately 126 parishes and 22 elementary/high schools.  This unique leadership opportunity includes supporting the Diocesan central staff and the numerous parishes to adapt to the rapidly changing landscape for the Catholic Church while assisting the Bishop with the development and implementation of  long-term strategies.   Outstanding communication skills, a self-starter who can move the organization forward, and experience in process improvement are desired qualities of the ideal candidate. 

Master’s Degree in a related field required with a minimum of ten years at an executive level.  Knowledge of typical diocesan structures and operations is preferred.  An exciting opportunity for a high integrity, mission driven leader with a personal commitment to advance the mission of the greater Church and to enhance the professional development of the diocesan management team.
