The Village of Brewster is accepting applications for the position of Village Technician. The individual hired may be assigned to the Village’s Street Department, but could also be assigned to the Village’s Water Department, or float between a combination of those Departments and Wastewater Department. Applicants should possess a Class A CDL.

 Preference will be given to individuals who are able to operate heavy equipment such as a back-hoe or excavator, and those that have superior mechanical, electrical, and mathematical skills. Entry level wage rate is $19.44 per hour. The normal schedule is a 40 hour work week, with occasional overtime and scheduled weekend work.

 Preference will be given to individuals who currently hold an OEPA Water Supply Class I or II Certificate and who have a knowledge of water distribution treatment operations and/or water distribution systems. There is an additional $.625 bonus per OEPA Water Supply Certificate added to the base hourly rate for each OEPA Water Supply Certification the individual holds or obtains.
