Seasonal full time position for Waterfront Director at Farm Pond in Sherborn. The position
includes coordinating all phases of town beach. Must be 21 years & have some lifeguarding

. JOB DUTIES - 
1. Assist in recruiting waterfront staff
2. Train & arrange any training necessary for staff
3. Utilize and/or create procedures to ensure safety of all swimmers
4. Create a schedule for waterfront and gate guard staff
5. Records staff hours and submits payroll records to the Select Board’s Office
6. Enforce all reservation rules & policies
7. Staff & Manage an effective swimming lesson program
8. Conduct daily check of Waterfront facility for safety, cleaniness & working order, reports problems to
Town Administrator (on weekends call maintenance person directly) and record in maintenance log
9. Inventory waterfront supplies and equipment at the beginning and end of the season
10. Make recommendations to the Town Administrator regarding budgetary needs, long & short term & submit
end of year report
11. Operate a quality, fun and safe waterfront program
12. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as required.

PREPARATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE -

1. Minimum age of 21
2. 2 years lifeguard experience
3. Current lifeguard, CPR, WSI
4. Mature judgment, ability to supervise & be supervised, work well with people of all ages & backgrounds
5. Have good communication skills (both written & oral)
6. Physical requirements: Must be able to perform advanced lifesaving with the operation of all related
equipment including kayaks, and/or rowboats.
7. Position requires extensive outdoor activity.
