Assistant Teaching Professor (non-tenure track), New Media Journalism, School of Media and Communication at Bowling Green State University.
Full-time, renewable, academic year. Competitive salary with full benefits. Duties include: Teach courses in journalism and media. Provide service to the school, college and university.
Minimum Qualifications: Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communications, or Public Relations or a closely related field such as advertising, communication, or media; Minimum of three years professional experience, including experience with emergent media such as data-driven journalism, podcasting, interactive journalism, web development or digital storytelling; Professional news writing, reporting, or editing experience within the past five years; Experience using digital media software such as Photoshop and InDesign.
Preferred Qualifications: College-level teaching experience as instructor of record in journalism, public relations, advertising or a related area (e.g., video production, digital media); Experience in coding and data visualization; Experience with non-linear video and audio editing software, such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, AVID, Audition, or Audacity; Experience in online audience analysis and entrepreneurship in journalism or media.
Starting date: August 2021.
