Darien Board of Education seeks FT Mandarin Chinese Teacher to plan, prepare & deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning experiences. Develop lesson plans that incorp. listening, speaking, reading & writing in Mandarin Chinese. Communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. Create a purposeful classroom in which students thrive. Such other related duties and responsibilities as directed. Min. Reqs: Bachelor’s degree and cert. or elig. for cert. by the CT Dept. of Ed in Other World Language for Grades 7-12 (Endorsement #024) or Mandarin Chinese, Grades 7-12 (Endorsement #318), with having passed ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI or OPIc) for Mandarin Chinese & ACTFL Writing Proficiency Test (WPT or WPTc) for Mandarin Chinese.
