Meet the re-inventors: The Apple TV Services teams built and manage the Apple TV app as well as tvOS, which redefined and refined the way people watch sports, and so much more. Today, these teams also handle one exciting realm at Apple: They bring viewers the sport experience to access NBA, NFL, MLB and much more games. And they've engineered it so sports can be enjoyed on Apple devices. To deliver Apple-level quality on a global scale, these engineers employ talent and tools to efficiently ingest, process and display sport data. They also integrate at the OS level to build the best user experiences with the Siri ecosystem. We are looking for an outstanding full stack software engineer to join the Apple TV Sports team and help us build the next generation products that change the way millions of fans experience and consume Sports. As a Full Stack Software Engineer at Apple, you will be owning key modules of the product and be responsible for delivering industry grade quality solutions.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in a professional, programming position
  • Proficient in Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
  • Experience creating applications using javascript web frameworks (e.g.: Angular, React, NPM, Webpack, Grunt)
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs and Java server applications
  • Experience with relational and non-relational data stores (e.g.: Oracle, Cassandra, Redis)
  • Experience with search platforms (e.g.: Solr)
  • Experience with container orchestration (e.g.: Kubernetes)
  • Experience with *nix and OSX
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git
  • 6+ years experience as a Java backend developer, on a scalable microservice
  • Self driven, communicative, and fun to work with

Description

Candidate should be a self-starting, energetic individual with excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization. The candidate should have years of experience developing full stack web applications. The ability to be an excellent team player under tight deadline constraints in addition to the ability to tackle problems with imaginative solutions is key to success in this position.

Education & Experience

BS in Computer Science, Mathematics, or EE, or relevant industry experience is required

Additional Requirements

  • Knowledge of SQL and ER modeling
  • Affinity to excellent user experience
  • Familiarity with the media space
