30-Temporary seasonal general forestry positions:06/15/21-10/15/21 Norterra Services All applicants must be able, willing, qualified, to perform work described in this job description & be available entire period specified. Transport provided designated locale to job site; Begin: Columbus county, Whiteville, NC @ $15.76/hr. Continue: SC-VA-NC-GA-AL, transport provided designated location to job site @ no cost to worker. Possible wkly/daily hours 7A-3:30P: 35+ includes lunchbreak OT not reqd; Maybe weekend/holiday work. OJT. No min. edu. Possible duties Reforest, protect, sow seed; lift seedlings nursery bed, place shade materials, net/tube, mulch, plant, hand scalp, apply spray/thin excess vegetation, other related forestry activities, lift, balance, walk, stoop, bend, handle, position, move material, static strength, exert max muscle force, push, pull, carry up to 50lbs. Attn. to detail, complete duties timely, outdoors, exposed to weather. Physically strenuous work, extreme weather conditions cause hrs to fluctuate, Possible downtimes/OT. Must show proof of legal authority to work in U.S. Drug, alcohol, tobacco free work zone. Min. age: 18-yrs due to travel. Employer to comply applicable Federal, State, Local laws pertaining to OT, downtime, current H-2B regulations. Wage range: $10.98-$25.54; Wage may vary: SC: $10.78-$14.25/hr. OT:$16.17-21.38/hr. NC: $14.25-$15.76hr. OT:$21.38-23.64 /hr. GA: $14.28/hr OT:$21.42/hr. AL: $17.17/hr. OT:$25.76/hr. VA: $11.15-$25.54/hr. OT:$16.73-38.31/hr. Transport/subsist reimbursed (by first paycheck) from place which worker has come to work for employer, whether in U.S. or abroad, to place of employment per regs Employer to reimburse the H2B worker first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing & other related fees, including those mandated by the govt., incurred by H2B worker ( but not including passport expenses or other charges primarily for the worker’s benefit), at no cost to worker. Once worker completed 50% of employment period, transport costs (most efficient reasonable carrier cost), & subsist costs reimbursed to worker. Upon completion work contract or where worker dismissed early, employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs return transport/ subsist back home or to place worker originally departed to work, except where worker will not return due to subsequent employment w/ another employer. Amount of transport payment or reimbursement will be equal most economical/reasonable common carrier for distances involved. Daily subsist provided at rate of $13.17/day during travel to max of $55 per day w/receipts. If legally enforceable, worker will be offered employment for total number work hrs equal to at least 3/4 (26.25/hrs.per wk) of workdays each 12-wk period. Work to be done w/employer provided tools, supplies/equipment w/o charge/deposit. Misc: a single workweek as standard to compute wages due. Wage pd every 2-wks. All deductions reqd. by law done by employer. Employer will pay cost of lodging to extent reqd. by law, workers not reqd. to stay such housing, in such employer offers assistance in locating optional lodging by supplying list one or more public accommodation options vicinity each worksite but does not provide such optional housing. Optional lodging cost varies by location. Carpool contribution optional. Company makes available company vehicle after hrs for reasonable personal use; contributions up to $35 per wk to help cover costs of personal use will be deducted based on mileage.
