Ear Nose & Throat Consultants is looking for a full-time Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) This person will work closely with one of our providers as well as fill in wherever needed in clinic. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to provide quality customer service Team player with outstanding interpersonal abilities Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments Independent thinker Excellent organizational and oralritten communication skills Strive in a fast-paced clinic environment Word processing and computer experience Experience in a clinic setting preferred Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program Valid Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certificate Current CPR certification ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (including but not limited to): Interacts with patients and family members, answering questions and addressing problems presented, either in person or by telephone as necessary when appropriate. Performs critical triage functions of patients medical condition upon referral in an attempt to determine appropriateness of referral and timing of appointment, coordinating visit with referring physicians office. Prepares patient for and assists with examinations and procedures when necessary as appropriate. Acts in a scribe capacity. Training will be provided. Maintains records of vital statistics and other pertinent data of patient. Pre and post-surgical education This position requires working at the Dakota Dunes and Morningside location, as well as occasional daytime travel to outreach clinics.
