Alberdingk Boley, Inc. is seeking Regulatory / ISO Coordinator. This position will lead the effort to maintain ISO certifications, eliminate, prevent, or reduce the occurrence of safety, health, medical and environmental issues and facilitate the development and maintenance of behaviors, attitudes and a safety culture that supports the goals of the Company's ISO programs. The position will also provide guidance and technical expertise on product stewardship with all applicable federal, state, and local safety, health and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities include: • Implements policies and procedures to develop a high level of ISO awareness and a low risk working environment. • Manage the implementation of HAZCOM 2012, reclassify chemicals to convert MSDS to SDS, train employees on how to read and understand revised labels / SDS and work with suppliers to establish plans and timelines for meeting GHS transition. Also, responsible for SDS authoring and revisions for new and experimental products. •Manage the Integrated Management System in compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 Standards. •Develop and implement Product Stewardship standards to create value and share knowledge for responsible product lifecycle management. •Evaluate and establish an understanding of the human health and environmental impact of our products throughout the supply chain. •Develop internal policies, standards, and procedures to back up our stewardship and compliance efforts. •Work closely with suppliers, carriers, distributors and customers for the appropriate product management program and effective implementation of the regulations. •Work closely with internal Alberdingk regulatory team and contracted consultants to register products with the EPA and Canadian authorities. •Help to maintain lab chemical inventory ensuring compliance with ISO and OSHA standards. Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements •BS/MS in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering. Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Safety Professional is preferred. •A working knowledge of the applicable Federal, State, and Local laws is required. •Familiarity with industry standards, such as NFPA, ANSI, ACGIH, and AIHA is required. •Strong leadership and performance management skills. •Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to develop strong collaborative relationships with all levels of employees to effectively implement and drive ISO program success. •Demonstrated ability to manage complex long-term projects.
