The Channel Marketing Specialist position is responsible for executing and managing subscriber retention direct response campaigns to reach channel-specific objectives and enable greater subscriber retention and engagement rates for both print and digital audiences for the more than 250 local media markets that make up the USA TODAY Network.
Responsibilities:
Day-to-day coordination and execution of cross-channel subscriber retention direct response programs. Responsible for effective communication with all stakeholders across the network and ensuring the program execution occurs consistently, accurately, on time and within the expense targets.
Efforts contribute to the marketing teams success in achieving its objectives and key results (OKRs).
Lead the collaborative efforts to implement and continually improve the communications lifecycle of a subscriber through direct mail and email as well as free standing inserts and shared mail marketing channels and event planning and execution.
Implement disciplined marketing tests in conjunction with the client partners and successfully integrate winning test strategies into the standard control campaigns seamlessly and in a timely manner in partnership with the growth teams.
Work closely with the retention and lifecycle marketing client partners, the marketing operations team, Customer Insights and the creative/campaign deployment partner, as well as with Channel Specialist peers, to achieve division and department objectives.
Communicate campaign plans and status to the retention and lifecycle marketing teams in a timely manner.
Work, in partnership with Channel Execution peers, to stay up to date with the evolving business practices within the consumer marketing team as they relate to site nuances, billing standards, offer presentation, pricing approaches, sales tax application and the like.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities and stakeholders at warp speed with a keen eye and attention to detail in a deadline driven environment is essential for the Channel Marketing Specialist to successfully execute campaigns on time and within budget that produce successful outcomes.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of direct response marketing, with specific experience in direct mail and email.
Subscription model, customer retention and Exact Target experience are a plus in a B2C marketing environment.
Above average project management skills are essential with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
