The Town of Grand Lake is seeking skilled and motivated candidates for the position of Town Treasurer. This is a full-time, exempt position with an annual salary range of $62,000 - $72,000 DOQ/E, plus benefits and a generous retirement match. Grand Lake is a vibrant mountain resort community and western gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. This is a Board of Trustees appointed position that reports to the Town Manager and is also responsible for all the Town's financial accounts and records including the preparation of monthly financial statements and the day to day accounting functions of the Town. The position is also instrumental to the preparation of the annual budget and its related financial statements and disclosures necessary for the annual audit.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented with exceptional organizational, multitasking, and technical abilities. The successful candidate will also have the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and will be comfortable presenting in front of the Board of Trustees.
Minimum Qualifications: Accounting degree, 3+ years in a similar role or position, experience with accounting, payroll and utility billing software (Caselle preferred), and the ability to pass a criminal background check. Experience in the public sector and CPA strongly preferred.
