As part of a grant funded training program dedicated to job creation and revenue growth for small business owners and entrepreneurs, Salt Lake Community College seeks a qualified Outreach & Alumni Director who will be responsible to: work closely and effectively with the program team, community college leadership and external program partners to ensure high-quality outreach and recruitment to the program. Responsible to develop, manage, and coordinate all internal and external relationships for the recruitment of small business owners.

In addition the position will be responsible for the GS10KSB Alumni program as prescribed by the funder, Goldman Sachs. Aspects include delivering alumni programming and collecting alumni data and maintaining reporting systems.

This position is at will.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties
- In partnership with the Executive Director, develops and manages all business partner relationships with local organizations, associations, etc. who will contribute to the alumni and outreach education programs delivered.
-Manages alumni program and maintains strong relationships with GS10KSB Alumni for ongoing & future program involvement and data collection.
- Networks with the local business community, including solicitation of business partners, information sessions for prospective scholars, clinics, loan support, alumni services, etc.
- Collaborate with the broader program team to plan, organize and coordinate various alumni offerings and events, including handling logistics and administrative duties to that effect
-Maintain ME collection & database at required benchmarks of 60% per cohort
- Serve as the main liaison to program graduates in order to identify and respond to alumni needs and fulfill the mission of the overall alumni program. Manage the local communication system with alumni in partnership with the national alumni program
- Work closely with the Executive Director to leverage and deepen relationships with the local business ecosystem and community
- Manage the system for administrating the follow-up business diagnostics for program graduates and plan the corresponding business advising sessions with the broader program team
- Attends and develops networking events and clinics with community business partners to message program outreach for purposes of recruiting applicants.
- Engage with program alumni, including individual relationship-building and participation in alumni events as needed
- Draw upon alumni as ambassadors of the program, participants on panels and in clinics, and as referral sources for future cohorts in support of ongoing recruitment and outreach efforts
- Coordinate alumni business growth plan/strategy and direct alumni to appropriate sources of capital acquisition
-Regularly posts activity to alumni app
-Collects and reports alumni success stories, awards, closures, and newsworthy events.
-Responsible for meeting outreach benchmarks with respect to applicants per recruiting cycle. (80-100 applicants per cycle)
-Responsible for maintaining CRM to track and manage prospects.
- Recruits between 80-100 applicants per recruitment cycle
- Develops outreach plans and calendaring for program partners.
-Attends outreach calls for direction and best practices
-Works with PM to track and follow up on applications for each recruiting cycle
-Manages CRM and software support programs such as Salesforce, ME System and alumni database.
-Develops outreach plans based on partners and ROI for memberships and sponsorship
-Tracks sponsorship and membership expenses for each approved grant cycle
-Stays current on system changes and upgrades in online database and CRM tools
-Attends bi-monthly staff meetings and report metrics
-Prepares required monthly dashboard for national partners
- Tracks progress and produces reports on alumni and outreach activities
-Coordinates outreach and alumni activities with the program team
- Monitors progress of community partners, attends events, & prepares reports and evaluations of activities and recommended partners.
- Works closely with Business Advisors in the Measurement and Evaluation process, maintains ME dashboard and collection responsibilities.

- Develops outreach plans and calendaring for program partners.
-Manages CRM and software support programs such as Salesforce, ME System and alumni database.
-Attends 2-3 outreach activities per week
-Works with partners Babson and ICIC to deliver reports and attend partner meetings

Preferred Qualifications
1. Knowledge and understanding of the comprehensive community college mission
2. Experience in program management, recruitment and/or marketing.
3. Working experience and/or knowledge of overseeing program financials associated with grants, private donation.
4. Marketing and online/social media platforms

Minimum Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in business, marketing or related area
2. A minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of successful business and entrepreneurship experience.
3. Experience in community outreach and development of business partnerships.
4. Experience using program / project management principles, practices, and processes and database management.
5. Marketing or sales experience.
